Flosstube #41 Back From Needlework Market pt 2
Oh my! I turned 80 this year … 80 is a good and do-able temp … but I’ll be in for it if this tendency ‘takes’. In AZ average temp right now is triple digits .. lucky for me I can stay in and stitch until mid September.
I know that Janome recommends using “J” bobbins … but I’d love to use pre wound bobbins … would this be an issue with this model (Memory Craft 6700P)?
What is the name of the Michael Miller knitting themed fabric? I can’t find it on your website. Do you have fat quarter or half yard bundles of this line?
Please email orders at orders@alwaysinstitches1.com and we can get you all squared away.
The center is a pentagon - 5 sides. A hexagon has 6 sides! The side of a hexie measures half the point to point through the center - 1” side is 2” from point to point! And so on! I’ve been working on a 3/4” hexie project for years😁😁😁. And thanks for the hint about the 80wt - it’s more difficult to find where I live but I do have a shop about 50 miles away that does have it.
Thanks for the info!
I agree with you. Sewing clothing is totally different. I really like the kitty Christmas quilt kit. You and Peter are doing a great job. You guys need to show some of the shop models you make with the new items.
Thanks so much!
Thank you Maggie and Peter😊
Hi Hildegard! You're welcome!
Maggie knows the store like the back of her hand! I agree with Peter; sewing clothing is much easier than piecing quilts.
And that girl zooms from one spot to the next like a pro! Clothes are fast to sew. The most time consuming part is cutting out the paper pieces and pining them together.
Throughly enjoyed your video! Such a sweet host! Beautiful fabrics!
Thank you so much!
Once again, enjoyed you guys!!!
Glad you enjoyed it
Omg! So cute!!! I need them all!😂💕
Right!
Making Berties Year into a full quilt will be striking! My husband says wool appliqué reminds him of the felt storyboards from Sunday school and isn't a huge fan of the appearance, but he's okay with the small projects and likes that I enjoy making them. I'm ready to stitch the strawberries. They're so bold and vibrant on the dark background.
I hadn't thought about the felt story boards. Good point.
I got married on the day of the moon landing. It was so cool to watch it
That is a great moon landing story!
Copy, do you miss not having a free arm on your Janome?
Capi loves her machine. I also have a machine with out a free arm and it wasn't a problem to sew cuffs and a collar as well as flat felled seams on the sleeve without a free arm.
@@alwaysinstitches5388 .. thank you! This is a fantastic machine .. maybe too much machine for me … I’ll be thinking about it if/when I decide to replace my current machine. I’m 80 so it’s time to think about downsizing … 🧵
Duh! I just spotted that I misspelled Capi’s name … I know better… thanks, auto correct!
I love Marley … I don’t crochet, but would stitch him with fabric … he would be made with black and tan and his name would be Dusty .. named for my best boy .. my Airedale! 🐶
The Airedale Terriers are such distinguished gentleman!
As always I just love you two together! You make my day and always make me laugh! So fun and beautiful creations today. Good luck with your ham radio project Peter! Mill Hill never disappoints with their newest designs. Such a great video! Shirley
En el momento en que vi el bolso kislux , supe que tenía que tenerlo.
¡Muchas gracias!
🍑🤣! You guys are so naturally funny 😄, your opinions are always welcome 🤭
Thank you so much 😁
Love your videos! Wish I lived nearby.
Thank you!
Lovely to see you both again, love all the other AIS videos too. Come back soon 😊👋🇳🇿
Hi in New Zealand!
That was fun! Loved seeing all the new things and your projects! Take care
Thank you! You too!
I got a pair of the scissors and they are great. Also got the witch. Enjoyed seeing all the patterns. Got some knitting done while watching.
That is great you got the scissors! Everyone loved your shawl that you brought in for show and tell!
I love all the new patterns. I bought The Quilted Scarecrow and Jack and Josie, they were too cute!
Hold the phone! Did you say you got Halloween themed things! Are you converting?
This young lady is so uplifting and is a great addition to the channel. Thanks for the TILDA review of her new lines. I live in Texas and I have as a number one on my wishlist to visit your amazing shop!
Thank you so much for your kind words!
Enjoyed visiting with you again and seeing all your work and new things. Easy to get exciting about the new patterns! Thanks for the info!
Thank you so much!
Is Peter still cross-stitching??? Love the floss tube!!!
I haven't cross stitched for a month I think. Glad you liked the video!
This is one of the best shops I have ever visited, and I have been cross stitch shop shopping for many years. I visited for the very first time a few weeks ago and everyone was super helpful, what a Blessing! Also, this is one of the funniest tutorial videos I have come across; it really helps to see what next cross stitch project is waiting for me and the humor you two have, whether intentional or not is Super.
Thank you so much for your beautiful words. We don't plan anything. We just turn on the camera and see what happens. We are happy to hear that you were able to visit the shop a few weeks ago and had a nice visit.
Love all these patterns, but I’m ALL OVER THE 🐳!!! I’m going to have to make one of every kind! I love the patchwork whale! So cute!!! Thanks for sharing such a fun video Maggie and Peter!❤
Thank you! Please consider making a Whale mobile! I envision one with all different sizes and colors of fabrics. I bet if you put a zipper in one you could have a Whale needle case.
@@alwaysinstitches5388 love that!!
What a fun video.
Thank you!
Yay you’re back! Love those cups!!! And can’t wait to get a crochet kit!!!❤🎉
Yay! Thank you!
😂😂 You two!! Virginia's peaches! 😂 You even had my husband laughing at that story! Best of luck with the Ham radio, Peter. My husband's grandfather was licensed years ago when he was in Alaska. We seem to have more wasps and yellow jackets around here than sweet bumble bees. Peter's poor doggie! I'm sure that was painful. Good to see what's new in the shop and what you're up to, Lyneen!
Hi, thank you! Your grandfather in law would of been a DX contact for the lower 48 states. I just learned that the other day. My clover is dried up from the heat. My tomato turned from green to yellow orange yesterday. I thought about picking it and putting it in the window to fully ripen. I am so excited about my tomato babies.
That's amazing how quickly your tomatoes are ripening. Do you like fried green tomatoes? It's unknown when Grampa started Ham radoing, but even Anchorage was so remote in the 60s.
She has a daughter named Emma. Kimberly Jolly
That makes sense. Thank you!
...oh yes, and I love the printer for your mini pictures.
I have to get one of those printers that Lyneen has.
Great review. The can yarn would make a nice gift or a nice learning project for a beginner. Nice to see you both and try to keep cool this summer. It's the hottest summer on record, so I hear.
We will try to keep cool!
I love your videos!😊 you are so funny and I just laugh the whole time. I needed a good laugh today. Thanks!
Thank you so much!
The Virginia peach story is the BEST!
I knew someone would like that story! I was trying to keep her anonymous.
That little case is my travel jewelry case. Great for lots of things
That is so cool!
Those can yarns are hysterical!
They crack me up! Especially the prawns!
Indiana and heat that’s normal … hot as double ‘hockey stitches’ !!!! Our family reunion in southern Indiana is always the 4th July weekend ish. PNPS is a top notch magazine. Don’t you love the sound of the pop when needle goes through the Congress cloth❤❤
That will be hot!
Peter, do you think they'd let us bob for apples now, with the germ concerns? I remember doing it. It was fun! Happy birthday!
Yes!
Another fun video ! Good job you two!
Thanks so much!
LOL- I spy Lyneen doing a quick u -turn! Trying to avoid the camera?? 😊I would do the same!
HaHa, I said the exact same thing to her that she was avoiding the camera! It made me laugh for sure!
Thank you for the overview! It is a very impressive machine!
Our pleasure!
Beautiful quilting!
Thank you! 😊
Tell Pam that I want to see a frog with the new green Tilda! 😊
Yes, we need a frog!
Maggie quilts beautifully with words! I want everything her and Peter show. 😊
She does such a good job explaining things!
Thank you for giving us a tour of the trunk show, Maggie and Peter. This fabric line is so pretty and I can't wrap my head around the exquisite quilting done on the pillows and quilts. That was done by a true artist!!
You are welcome for the trunk show tilda tour!
so glad to see Capi again! Thank you for the awesome video!
Glad you enjoyed it!
What a cute line of fabric. I don’t know how you have a paycheck. It was nice to see you Friday. You and Peter did a great job showing everything.
Thank you! 😊
I’m late to the party, but is Maggie related to Capy???
LOL!! She is so cute and I would love to call her family, but alas, I am only her co worker. All of the staff at AIS is family though - and our customers too!!!
Great job with the trunk show ,such attention to detail with each quilt . Also fun to watch , thank you !
You are so welcome!
